The Verkhovna Rada has added artificial intelligence (AI) to the areas of responsibility of the Digital Transformation Committee.
This was announced by Yaroslav Zhelezniak, MP from the Holos faction, on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
A total of 287 MPs voted for draft resolution No. 12350, with a minimum of 226 votes.
The resolution adds the issue of artificial intelligence to the list of areas of responsibility of the Verkhovna Rada's Digital Transformation Committee.
In connection with the adoption of the Law "On Electronic Communications", the Law "On Telecommunications" lost force, which is why the area of responsibility of the Digital Transformation Committee "digital industry and telecommunications changes" was changed to "digital industry and electronic communications".
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is working on developing a virtual assistant based on artificial intelligence, which will be called Nadiya.
