Ukraine is ready to release captured North Korean servicemen and exchange them for Ukrainians held by the aggressor country of the russian federation.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Telegram channel.
The President published a video with the interrogation of one of the North Korean servicemen, who was captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces the day before in the Kursk Oblast.
Zelenskyy wrote that Ukraine is ready to hand over DPRK citizens to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, but only if he can organize their exchange for Ukrainians held captive by the russians.
He also noted that there are other options for those DPRK servicemen who do not want to return to their homeland.
"In particular, those Koreans who express a desire to bring peace closer by spreading the truth in Korean about this war will be given such an opportunity," Zelenskyy wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 11, it became known that Ukrainian military personnel in the Kursk Oblast captured two North Korean soldiers who were sent to russia to participate in the war against Ukraine.
Recall, on January 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that 3,800 North Korean soldiers had already been killed or wounded in the war against Ukraine.
