At least 3,800 North Korean soldiers fighting against Ukraine as part of the army of the aggressor country, the russian federation, have been killed or wounded.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with American podcaster Lex Fridman.
"North Korea. 12,000 arrived. Today, 3,800 have been killed or wounded. They can bring another 30,000-40,000. Or maybe 500,000. They can bring a lot of people. Because they have an autocracy," Zelenskyy said.
He also added that Europe will be able to assemble an army of two or three million people. He emphasized that today the largest army in Europe is the Ukrainian one, which has 980,000 soldiers. France is in second place - about 200,000 people.
"There is no such goal to gather everyone - we do not want war. We want to stop the russians. And they invite soldiers from North Korea. They burn their faces, wounded or killed," Zelenskyy said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on the night of January 1, North Korean soldiers continued to be involved in hostilities in the Kursk Oblast, and cases of alcohol abuse among the DPRK military were recorded. Units of the North Korean army are suffering significant losses, and their fighting spirit is declining.
