Air defense downs 33 enemy UAVs at night, 34 lost in location

Overnight into Friday, January 10, russian troops launched 72 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 33 of them, another 34 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of January 10 (from 08:30 p.m. on January 9), the enemy attacked with 72 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).

"As of 09:00 a.m., it was confirmed that 33 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia and Kherson Regions. 34 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences), one of them flew towards the russian federation," the message says.

Five hits were recorded (enterprises and outbuildings) in the frontline area in the north of the Chernihiv Region, a civilian was injured.

In the Kyiv Region, a downed UAV fell on a high-rise building, damaging a building and two dozen cars.

Previously, there were no casualties.
