In 2024, Ukraine reaches pre-war trade figures, exporting goods worth USD 41 billion - Shmyhal

In 2024, Ukraine reached pre-war trade figures, exporting almost 130 million tons of goods worth more than USD 41 billion.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In 2024, we have already actually reached pre-war trade figures. Ukraine exported almost 130 million tons of goods worth more than USD 41 billion," he said.

According to him, such volumes became possible thanks to the Ukrainian sea corridor and the work of ports, which in 2024 handled more than 97 million tons of cargo.

"Our goal in this direction is to reduce the export of raw materials and increase the export of processing. This is one of the key principles of the "Made in Ukraine" policy," he noted.

Shmyhal noted that one of the key tasks of the government in economic policy for 2025 is the further growth of exports and investments.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to preliminary data from the Ministry of Economy, in 2024 Ukraine exported 129.2 million tons of goods worth USD 41.043 billion, which is 13.4% more in monetary terms and 28.8% more in weight than last year (in 2023, 100.3 million tons of goods worth USD 36.1 billion were exported).
