According to the report, this is the highest indicator of sugar exports within a calendar year according to statistics dating back to 1997, when the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) was established.

It is noted that 40% of exports in 2024 were directed to the countries of the European Union, 60% were exports to the World market.

The countries of MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and North Macedonia became the main buyers of Ukrainian sugar on the World market.
