Pentagon assesses effectiveness of DPRK soldiers in Kursk Oblast

The Pentagon has noted that North Korean troops are suffering high losses as a result of attacks in the Kursk Oblast by the aggressor state of russia, and assessed their effectiveness.

The spokeswoman of the U.S. Department of Defense Sabrina Singh has reported this.

Thus, the department confirmed the White House data on the losses of DPRK soldiers in russia - about 1,000 North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded in the Kursk Oblast.

"That's our assessment as well. What we're seeing right now is that the assaults that the DPRK soldiers are launching within that Kursk region are proving to be that effective," Singh said.

She recalled that about 12,000 DPRK soldiers were involved, which indicates “a deepening of an alliance there between Russia and North Korea."

"Can't say that we're seeing more being sent, but that doesn't mean that they won't send more in the future," she added

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters about the risks of sending additional soldiers and military equipment from North Korea to the russian army and about significant losses among North Korean military personnel participating in hostilities on the side of russia.
