Italy allocates EUR 13 million to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure

Italy has allocated EUR 13 million to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.

The press service of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the relevant decision was made on behalf of Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

"At a time when attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure are intensifying, this decision is an important step in efforts to restore energy systems damaged by the conflict. Italy's contribution - one of the largest contributions from a single country - will help stabilize electricity supplies to millions of war-affected Ukrainians at this difficult time," the report says.

The other day, the Italian government approved the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine in connection with the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country russia.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia fired over 1,000 missiles at Ukraine's power system during the full-scale invasion, seeking to plunge the country into a complete blackout.

No power outages are planned in Ukraine on New Year's Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

However, the situation may change at any time. This will be reported separately.
