On the Dnieper axis, the occupiers have attacked the island zone at the Dnieper estuary 3 times in the past day. For several weeks, the enemy has been trying to take control of the Kozatskyi Island. However, its assault attempts were unsuccessful. The enemy also attacked the Great Potyomkin Island, also suffered losses and retreated.

There have been no significant changes in the operational situation in the south of Ukraine over the past day. The composition and nature of the enemy's troops' actions remain unchanged, and no signs of their formation of offensive groups have been detected.
On the Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes, the enemy is actively conducting engineering and aerial reconnaissance and continues to train assault groups. In addition, over the past day, the enemy has partially conducted rotational operations at the frontline positions and replenished ammunition supplies.
Over the past day, 293 attacks were recorded, almost two hundred of them on the Zaporizhzhia axis. In addition, the enemy used 298 FPV drones of various modifications, including Lancet type loitering munitions and dropped more than 200 fragmentation munitions with striking properties.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group denied yesterday's statement by the DeepState analytical project that parts of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were allegedly in de facto encirclement in the Kurakhove area of the Donetsk Region.
On December 13, Member of Parliament Mariana Bezuhla stated that General Oleksandr Lutsenko had been dismissed from the post of the commander of the Donetsk Operational and Tactical Troops Group. Units of this grouping operate on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting stabilization measures and trying to prevent encirclement in the Makarivka area near Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk Region.
