Trump announces "largest deportation operation" in US history after inauguration

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has promised to launch the "largest deportation operation in American history" as soon as he takes office on January 20, 2025.

He said this during the Turning Point Action's AmericaFest conference, the New York Post reports.

"On my first day back in the Oval Office, I will sign a historic slate of executive orders to close our border to illegal aliens and stop the invasion of our country. And on that same day, we will begin the largest deportation operation in American history, larger even than that of President Dwight D Eisenhower," Trump said.

The publication notes that Donald Trump promised throughout his 2024 election campaign to conduct a campaign of mass deportation of illegal immigrants living in the United States. To carry out this mission, he appointed Tom Homan as his “border czar”.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump also stated that Washington needs to establish control over Greenland, which is now the territory of Denmark.

In addition, Trump stated on Sunday that the president of the aggressor country, the russian federation, vladimir putin, expressed a desire to meet with him as soon as possible to discuss the war in Ukraine.
