Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha has reported that 1 million Ukrainian citizens are in Poland.
He said this during the Hour of Questions to the Government.
The Hour of Questions was hosted by Oleksii Honcharenko, an MP from the European Solidarity faction, on his YouTube channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"If we take the measurement of Poland, today Poland is a country with the second largest Ukrainian community. I mean both the autochthonous Ukrainian community and forcibly arrived Ukrainian citizens. We are talking about the number of citizens - about a million people," he said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will strengthen our consular presence in Poland.
According to Sybiha, it is planned to open two additional consular institutions in Rzeszów and Poznań.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Sybiha reported that 7.5 million Ukrainians have left for abroad and continue to stay there because of the war.
