The Security Service of Ukraine is investigating a hacker cyberattack by russian special services on state registers in Ukraine.
An SSU representative said this at a briefing at the Ministry of Justice, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The SSU has opened criminal proceedings over cyberattacks. One of the versions is that Russian special services are behind this cyberattack," the Security Service representative said.
He did not deny that the data leak was avoided.
"We cannot deny that the data leak did not occur. An investigation is currently underway by cyber specialists," the SSU employee added.
According to him, this attack was being prepared.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, due to the failure of state registers, you can only get married or get divorced on paper, as before.
A large-scale failure of state registers occurred in Ukraine. Work to eliminate problems at the network infrastructure level continues, and therefore the Unified and State Registers, the creation and operation of which falls within the competence of the Ministry of Justice, as well as the websites of the Ministry of Justice, the State Enterprise National Information Systems, and the call center will be unavailable until the end of the day.
