Work of all state registers of Justice Ministry suspended, data leak not confirmed - Cabinet

The work of all state registers accountable to the Ministry of Justice has been suspended, data leak is not confirmed, and it will take at least 2 weeks to restore.

Vice Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna announced this at a briefing, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to her, all data in the registers has been saved and is subject to restoration.

"A unified register of powers of attorney, inheritance cases, property rights, a register of individuals and legal entities. Restoration of registers will begin on Monday. Two weeks are needed to restore the work of state registers," Stefanishyna said.

She added that all data and registers will be restored with the support of the SSU.

"The data leak is not confirmed at this time," Stefanishyna emphasized.

The Vice Prime Minister noted that the work of all registers is currently suspended due to a cyberattack.

According to the SSU, since Ukraine is in the conditions of the world's first cyber war, all of Ukraine's systems are the target of the enemy.

According to Stefanishyna, this cyberattack had been prepared for at least several months.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian special services are behind the cyberattack on the state registers of Ukraine.

Due to the failure of the registers, you can only get married or divorced on paper, as before.

In Ukraine, there was a large-scale failure of state registers.
