Stefanchuk responds to putin's statement on negotiations

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has responded to the statement of the president of the aggressor country of the russian federation, vladimir putin, about negotiations and compromises regarding the russian-Ukrainian war.

He said this at a briefing, answering a question of the Ukrainian News agency.

"We appeal, Ukraine, as a founding country of the UN, to one simple point: to return to the implementation of the UN Charter. The formula for this return is the peace formula of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We are ready to consider other initiatives with our partners. We do not need other, so-called, peace-making initiatives from other persons, which are written without taking into account the opinion of Ukraine," he said regarding the statement of the russian dictator.

In his opinion, exclusively the conditions of Ukraine, as a victim of the russian aggression, should be the conditions on which we are ready to make peace.
