From December 19, 2024, VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) from Kyivstar will become available to subscribers of all fixed-line providers in Ukraine.
This is stated in the Kyivstar message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The message states that in early December, Kyivstar announced the launch of VoWiFi technology.
To control the load on the network, access to the technology was opened gradually. First, the opportunity to use VoWiFi was given to users of fixed-line communication from Kyivstar, now the technology has become available to users of other providers in Ukraine.
“VoWiFi technology allows you to make calls via a Wi-Fi network even in places with a weak mobile network signal, provides high voice quality and fast connection. VoWiFi will also be useful during power outages, because provided that backup power for Wi-Fi and Internet access are provided, voice calls can be made via any Wi-Fi network,” the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in December Kyivstar announced an increase in tariffs by an average of 25%, while providing subscribers with more services and bonuses.
VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) is a modern technology that allows you to make voice calls and send SMS using a smartphone within the Wi-Fi coverage area.
