LLC GTS Operator of Ukraine has received confirmation of the guaranteed supply of 42 million cubic meters of gas by the end of winter 2026 from the Slovak operator Eustream.
This was stated by the Director General of the GTS Operator Dmytro Lyppa during his speech at the conference Energy Security Dialogue 2024, writes the publication Delo.ua.
"I received confirmation from the Slovak operator about the guaranteed capacity of 42 million cubic meters per day. This is the volume that they previously confirmed to us temporarily. Now we have received this confirmation by the end of winter 2026," he said.
According to him, Ukraine is gaining access to gas reserves formed in Germany and in the Baltic Sea basin. Thus, Ukraine will be able to provide itself with gas if necessary.
In addition, the GTS Operator of Ukraine is negotiating with the Polish operator Gaz System S.A. regarding guaranteed gas supplies from Poland.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Slovak company SPP previously signed a short-term pilot contract for the purchase of natural gas with the Azerbaijani SOCAR, preparing for a possible cessation of gas supplies to the aggressor country of russia via Ukraine.
