Demand for labor weakened in November due to economic slowdown, and number of resumes increased - NBU

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reports that demand for labor weakened in November due to economic slowdown, and the number of resumes increased.

This is stated in the NBU inflation report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The number of new vacancies decreased slightly compared to previous months both due to seasonal factors and due to the weakening of economic activity (in November, growth slowed down to 12.1% year-on-year)," it says.

At the same time, it is reported that the number of resumes has remained almost unchanged since the beginning of autumn.

At the same time, in annual terms, the growth in the number of resumes accelerated in November to 4.2% year-on-year.

The increase in labor supply made it easier for enterprises to find employees, although the shortage of personnel is still significant.

Due to the shortage of workers, wages continued to grow, particularly in the private sector.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that unemployed Ukrainians in Germany should be encouraged to find employment or return to their homeland.
