SACPO asks court to re-impose duties on Naftogaz ex-Board Chairman Kobolev

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SACPO) is asking the High Anti-Corruption Court to re-impose procedural duties on the former Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine National Joint-Stock Company Andrii Kobolev.

The prosecutor's office informed the Ukrainian News agency about this.

The SACPO has filed a repeated motion to impose duties on Kobolev.

The prosecutor's office is asking to apply a number of restrictions to Kobolev, since the previous restrictions expired due to the fact that the court did not consider the SACPO's motion in a timely manner.

At that time, the prosecutor's office accused SACPO of sabotage.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the ban on traveling abroad and other duties was lifted from the former Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz Kobolev, who is accused of illegally receiving a bonus of UAH 229 million.

The ban on traveling abroad and other restrictions for Kobolev were in effect until November 12 inclusive.

However, court hearings on the extension of his duties were not held.

Therefore, these restrictions are no longer in effect.

The SACPO accused the High Anti-Corruption Court of sabotaging the hearings in Kobolev's case and may initiate a new preventive measure against him. The High Anti-Corruption Court ignored the prosecutors' appeal in the case of the former head of Naftogaz Andrii Kobolev (on charges of paying illegal multi-million bonuses), which allowed the suspect to avoid fulfilling the previously imposed procedural duties. The SACPO is deciding on the issue of re-imposing procedural duties on Kobolev.
