President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated this in an exclusive interview with Kyodo News.
Zelenskyy stressed that the war has entered a "difficult period" as russia is advancing faster in the eastern part of Ukraine. According to him, there is evidence that russia has deployed about 12,000 North Korean military in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation, which borders Ukraine. Before disclosing the exact number of their losses, Ukraine needs to "have evidence," Zelenskyy noted.
"In the future, many North Korean soldiers will be sent to the front lines of the war, and it is "undoubted" that Russian President Vladimir Putin will use them "as cannon fodder," the Ukrainian President said.
Zelenskyy also stated that support for Ukraine from partners is "insufficient" and called on NATO to invite Ukraine to the North Atlantic Alliance as soon as possible, the publication writes.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, on November 22, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andrii Kovalenko, reported that the aggressor state russia had transferred part of the North Korean military to the border areas of the Belgorod Oblast.
On November 7, Forbes reported that Ukrainian fighters repelled the assault of russian occupiers and North Korean troops in Kursk.
On November 4, the Center for Countering Disinformation reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted the first losses on servicemen of the North Korean army.
