Returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine not under consideration - White House

U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has denied reports that the Biden administration is open to returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine, saying that "it's not under consideration."

He said this in an interview with ABC News.

Thus, Sullivan said that the current administration will do everything in their power during these 50 days before Donald Trump takes office to "provide Ukraine with all the tools they can to strengthen its position on the battlefield so that it is stronger at the negotiating table."

At the same time, Sullivan denied reports that the administration is open to returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine.

"It's not under consideration. No, we are providing Ukraine with various conventional forces and capabilities so that it can effectively defend itself and fight the Russians, not nuclear forces and capabilities," he said.

Sullivan informed that Biden instructed him to oversee a significant increase in military equipment that the United States is delivering to Ukraine in order to "spend every dollar" allocated by Congress by the time Biden leaves office.

As we will recall, the material of the American publication The New York Times stated that American and European officials offered the current U.S. President Joseph Biden to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons that Kyiv could use as an instant and powerful deterrent.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, in the meantime, The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. and Congressional officials, stated that the Biden administration does not have time to use the billions of dollars that lawmakers have allocated to arm Ukraine.
