Heavy losses, encirclement, commander's resignation. Defense Intelligence speaks about situation of russians in Syria

Against the backdrop of significant losses and panic among the military of the aggressor country of russia on the territory of Syria, the kremlin dismissed the commander of its group in the Arab Republic, General Sergey Kisel.

The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has said this in a statement on Telegram.

As reported by the Defense Intelligence, previously General Kisel distinguished himself by his actions that were unsuccessful for the aggressor state during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, for which he was also dismissed from his post. Later, he was sent on a Syrian mission.

To replace Kisel, and also to help the regime of Bashar Assad, the russian federation sent another military commander. Thus, General Aleksandr Sayko, who commanded the group of russian troops in Syria in 2017-2019, has already arrived on the territory of the Arab country.

"After three days of successful offensive actions by pro-Turkish forces in Syria, Russian troops have suffered significant losses, some units of the aggressor state are encircled. Hundreds of Muscovites are listed as missing in Syria," the Defense Intelligence said.

Earlier, the Ukrainian News agency reported that the Syrian National Army, which is in opposition to the current regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, has launched a major offensive against government troops in the province of Aleppo in the north of the country.

Besides, White House National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett has said that the United States is not involved in the events in Syria, and is closely monitoring the situation. In addition, he noted that the United States will continue to fully protect and secure American personnel and U.S. military positions are important so that "ISIS can never again resurge in Syria".
