Russian Shaheds not just flying to Belarus, they remotely redirected by AFU - media

Ukrainians use electronic warfare (EW) systems to remotely change the coordinates of russian strike UAVs. Because of this, some of them turn back towards russia or fly into the territory of Belarus.

The French publication Le Monde wrote about this on Tuesday, November 26.

The publication notes that recently the russians have significantly increased the number of drones launched over the territory of Ukraine.

Thus, on the night of November 26, the occupiers launched 188 strike drones of the Shahed type, as evidenced by data from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, only 17 drones were able to penetrate air defenses and hit their intended targets. The rest were either shot down or diverted by EW systems.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian military remotely changes the satellite coordinates that the drones are targeting. This forces Shaheds to return to russia or fly towards Belarus, an ally of Moscow.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of today, November 27, the russians launched 89 strike UAVs over Ukraine. Air defense forces were able to shoot down 36 Shaheds, another 48 drones were lost in location.

As a reminder, the day before it became known that from November 24 to 25, almost 40 russian drones flew into the territory of Belarus, which became an absolute record in the entire history of observations.
