The administration of incumbent US President Joseph Biden will make every effort to make Ukraine capable of fighting against the aggressor country of russia in 2025.
According to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on November 26.
During the briefing, Blinken was asked whether the consensus among European countries on continuing aid to Ukraine would remain if Washington decided to stop supporting Kyiv after the arrival of the new President Donald Trump.
According to Blinken, both Democrats and Republicans voted for the bill on financing aid to Ukraine, which the US Congress passed in April 2024.
Blinken also said that the current administration intends to do everything to ensure that in 2025 Ukraine has everything it needs to continue the war.
Answering journalists' questions about support for Ukraine from European countries, Blinken said that, given what he had heard, he was confident that strong support from Europe would remain.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in early November, Politico reported that the Biden administration intends to urgently transfer to Ukraine USD 6 billion, which was left over from funds previously allocated for military aid to Ukraine.
At the same time, in the middle of this month, The Hill reported, citing a member of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Tim Kaine, that Washington may accept additional funding for Ukraine before the Trump administration takes office.
We also reported that the US Department of Defense stated that Ukraine will receive a new package of military aid almost every week. In this way, Washington wants to have time to transfer military assets for the remaining funds before the end of Biden's term.
