The UkrGasVydobuvannya Joint-Stock Company, part of the Naftogaz Group, has put into operation a new well with a flow rate of 170,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day.
This is indicated in a statement by the Naftogaz company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The statement says that the depth of the well is 4,202 m.
It is noted that this is the 15th well at this field since the beginning of the year.
"A new well has been drilled in the central part of the field, by the end of the year we plan to drill one more and four more next year. Thanks to the professional and coordinated work of all specialists of UkrGasVydobuvannya, we have managed to increase production for the second year in a row. I thank everyone for their professional work and this result," said Oleksii Chernyshov, the Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine.
As Serhii Lakhno, the Provisional Head of UkrGasVydobuvannya reported, this result was achieved thanks to the successful choice of the well location.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January-September 2024, compared to the same period last year, UkrGasVydobuvannya increased natural gas production (commercial) by 6.5% to 10.4 billion cubic meters.
The Naftogaz of Ukraine National Joint Stock Company plans to produce 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2024 at the expense of the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies.
UkrGasVydobuvannya is the largest natural gas producer in Ukraine, 100% of the company's shares belong to Naftogaz.
