President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the world has air defense systems capable of shooting down missiles, one of which the russian occupiers used to strike the city of Dnipro on November 21.
Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address.
According to him, Ukraine showed news agencies the fragments of the occupiers' ballistic missile found after the strike on Dnipro.
"Currently, examinations are underway, work with partners to establish all the details and all the characteristics of this missile. And in order to find an answer to this Russian escalation step together," the President said.
He emphasized that the world has air defense systems capable of protecting against such missiles. According to him, the whole world needs to focus on this now.
"Russia must feel that every step it takes to expand the war has consequences for it," Zelenskyy added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 24, journalists were shown for the first time the wreckage of the Oreshnik missile, with which the russian occupiers struck Dnipro on November 21.
Recall that experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that russian dictator vladimir putin is allegedly boasting about the new Oreshnik missile, but experts are skeptical about its innovation.
The day before, Ukrainian media reported, citing sources in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that Ukraine is negotiating with the United States about providing THAAD systems capable of shooting down new russian ballistic missiles.
