The German government has announced the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine, which includes armored vehicles, an air defense radar, self-propelled artillery systems, ammunition and other property.
This is evidenced by the update of the page on the German government website indicating the weapons and equipment transferred to Ukraine.
According to the published information, the new military aid package will include:
- 47 mine-resistant and ambush-resistant vehicles (MRAP);
- 4 Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers with spare parts;
- 1 TRML-4D air surveillance radar;
- 41,000 155 mm artillery shells;
- 7 barrels for M109 self-propelled artillery systems;
- 8 Caracal assault vehicles;
- 2 Beaver bridge layers with spare parts;
- 3 Wisent 1 mine-clearing tanks with spare parts;
- 3 mine trawlers;
- 20 Vector reconnaissance drones with spare parts;
- 12 Hornet XR reconnaissance drones;
- 60 Golden Eagle reconnaissance drones;
- 120 Songbird reconnaissance drones;
- 100 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones;
- 2 VT-4 Rochen reconnaissance drones;
- 20 border patrol vehicles;
- 6 M1070 Oshkosh tank transport tractors;
- 340 HLR 338 sniper rifles and 74,000 rounds of ammunition for them;
- 8,000 40 mm grenades;
- 100,000 rounds of ammunition for firearms;
- 55,000 turnstiles;
- 100,000 occlusive dressings.
Military aid from Germany
As a reminder, on November 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, announced that Ukraine will receive the German IRIS-T air defense system.
And in October, it became known that Germany had transferred two IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine.
