Disbanding territorial recruitment centers impossible - MP Fedienko

A member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, a member of the committee on national security, defense and intelligence, Oleksandr Fedienko, believes that disbanding territorial recruitment centers is impossible.

He told reporters this, answering questions from the Ukrainian News Agency.

"In my opinion, disbanding the territorial recruitment and social support centers is simply impossible, replacing it with a recruiting mechanism is also impossible. Although the recruiting mechanism should work, and this is normal, I want to remind you that recruiting is a point-by-point replenishment of certain military formations, military units, and the territorial recruitment and social support centers is still dealing with a national issue," he said.

Fedienko called the idea populism from colleagues in the Verkhovna Rada.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 4, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill proposing to eliminate medical and social expert commissions (MSEC).

On November 20, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading a bill proposing to eliminate medical and social expert commissions (MSEC).
