The Verkhovna Rada has allowed the demobilization of half-brothers and sisters of deceased and missing servicemen.
This was reported on her Telegram channel by Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction in parliament, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
A total of 308 MPs voted for the adoption of bill No. 11531, with a minimum required 226 votes.
The document is intended to restore the right of servicemen to be discharged from military service due to the death or disappearance of their half-brother or sister while participating in hostilities.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada granted a deferral to half-brothers and sisters of deceased and missing servicemen.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied the possibility of reducing the mobilization age.
