PJSC Ukrnafta, part of the Naftogaz Group, and the international company Shell have signed an agreement to acquire a 51% stake in Alliance Holding LLC.
This is stated in the fund's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The statement says that in the coming days, Ukrnafta, together with Shell, will apply to the Antimonopoly Committee for a concentration permit, which is a mandatory prerequisite for completing the deal.
Upon completion of the procedure, the company will be able to fully complete the deal and acquire all the rights and obligations of a shareholder.
The statement does not specify the amount of the deal.
"Naftogaz Group has not only adapted to the conditions of war, but is also becoming stronger.
We remain flexible and are not afraid to make decisions that will allow the state to earn money. Ukrnafta will become the majority owner of a network of gas stations, which includes 118 operating gas stations, as well as other property.
This will ultimately create additional financial revenues for Naftogaz Group and contribute to increasing contributions to the state budget,” noted the head of Naftogaz Group Oleksii Chernyshov.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April, the State Property Fund received 49% of the Shell gas station network in Ukraine for management.
The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the Ministry of Justice’s appeal against the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court and recovered from the state’s income a 49% stake in the authorized capital of Alliance Holding LLC, which is indirectly owned by russian businessman Eduard Khudaynatov.
The Shell Group considers this decision to be a violation of international law.
Alliance Holding is the owner of the Shell gas station network in Ukraine, which includes 131 gas stations in 20 regions of Ukraine, of which 118 are operational.
The company was established in 2008 as a joint venture between Shell (51%) and Alliance Oil Ukraine (49%).
The former took over the management of the network, and the latter - the provision of petroleum products.
