On the eve of the thousandth day of the war, the President of Israel Isaac Herzog recorded a video address to the people of Ukraine. The video was published by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky on his Telegram channel.
"As a country that knows the pain of war, we in Israel want to say to our friends in Ukraine: you are not alone! We feel your pain, we feel your suffering. And we continue to grieve with you because of the huge losses," Isaac Herzog said.
The President of Israel emphasized that his country, as before, supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and will continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance.
"The State of Israel continues to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and strives to end senseless suffering and losses," he stressed, adding that he hoped for a diplomatic settlement and an end to hostilities as soon as possible.
As previously reported, as a result of another russian attack on Kyiv, the building of the Jewish school Perlyna [Pearl] was seriously damaged.
It also became known in September that the son of the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine – Matityahu (Anton) Samborskyi – was killed at the front while defending Ukraine.
