In January-October 2024, compared to the same period last year, the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies, which are part of the Naftogaz Group, increased the production of commercial gas by 6.0%, or by 1.3 billion cubic meters, to 12.3 billion cubic meters.
This is stated in the message of the group, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Despite the military operations, our specialists continue to drill new wells and steadily increase gas production. We are doing everything possible to guarantee Ukrainians a sustainable heating season with their own fuel," said Oleksii Chernyshov, head of the Naftogaz Group.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Naftogaz plans to produce 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies.
In 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and Ukrnafta increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.
