After the russians attacked the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir, 20 million cubic meters of water leaked out of it. At the same time, there is no threat to the population and flooding.

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, announced this.

"The day before yesterday, the occupiers blew up the Kurakhove Reservoir dam, where 55 million cubic meters of water were located. 20 million cubic meters leaked outside the Kurakhove Reservoir," the message says.

At the same time, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, there is no flooding of settlements. There is also no threat to the population that remained in those small villages.

Recall that on November 11, Filashkin stated that the russian occupiers damaged the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, at that time the dam's blowing up led to a rise in the water level in the Vovcha River within the Velyka Novosilka community by almost 1.5 meters.

Later, a video of the Kurakhove Reservoir’s dam being blown up in the west of the Donetsk Region appeared on the Internet.

According to Roman Padun, the head of the Kurakhove City Military Administration, due to the russian shelling, it is not possible to inspect the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir.

Meanwhile, analysts of the Institute for the Study of War told why the russians blew up the dam and how it could affect the situation in the Kurakhove area.
