Explosion in Sevastopol. SSU confirms liquidation of russian Black Sea Fleet's missile ship staff head

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has confirmed that in the occupied Crimea, unknown persons eliminated the head of the staff of missile ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation Valery Trankovsky. The man died of blood loss.

Hromadske writes about this with reference to its sources in the SSU.

Trankovsky ordered missiles to be fired from ships in the Black Sea at civilian objects in Ukraine. He was involved in the shelling of Vinnytsia in 2022, when 29 civilians were killed. He was also involved in the shelling of Odesa with numerous victims.

The Special Service says that Trankovsky "was an absolutely legal target from the point of view of the laws and customs of warfare." The occupier was watched for about a week, and the improvised explosive device was activated remotely.

The source also called it symbolic that a russian war criminal died on Taras Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a car driven by a russian soldier, a captain of the 1st rank of the Black Sea Fleet, exploded in occupied Sevastopol in the morning. He died on the spot from his injuries. Initially, the mass media did not mention the name of the commander.
