After the victory of Donald Trump, the demand for the abortion pills, as well as for IUDs and vasectomies, has increased in the United States. This comes amid expectations of tougher abortion laws.
This was reported by The Washington Post.
According to the company Aid Access, which is one of the largest suppliers of abortion pills, within the first day after the publication of the preliminary election results, it received 10,000 requests for its drug. This is 17 times more than the company usually receives every day.
Just the Pill, a nonprofit organization that prescribes abortion pills via telemedicine, said 22 of its 125 orders from November 6 to November 8 were from people, who were not pregnant.
Plan C's website, which publishes information on access to abortion drugs, has seen an increase in traffic. Immediately after Trump's election became apparent, 82,200 people visited the site. Although, the resource is usually visited by 4,000-4,500 users per day.
It will be recalled that the strengthening of legislation on abortions up to their complete ban was discussed during the election campaign of Donald Trump.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 10, the American publication The Washington Post wrote that on November 7, President-elect Trump allegedly had a telephone conversation with the russian dictator.
Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov denied this information.
It will be recalled that on November 8, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, said that the USA, after the election of Trump, allegedly wants to "get out" of the russian-Ukrainian war.
