Ukraine is fighting to take the strongest position for any negotiations to end the war.
Reuters writes about it.
As Trump's victory in the US presidential election brings closer the prospect of talks to end the war in Ukraine, Kyiv is scrambling to take the strongest position for any talks, including providing more weapons and staying on the front lines.
A senior Ukrainian official told the publication that the next four to five months will be crucial, "signaling that Trump's return to the White House is focusing Kyiv's minds on a possible end to the war."
"This winter is a critical moment... I hope that the war is coming to an end. Just now we will determine the positions of both sides in the negotiations, the initial positions," said the Ukrainian official on condition of anonymity.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 10, the American publication The Washington Post wrote that on November 7, President-elect Trump allegedly had a telephone conversation with the russian dictator.
However, putin's press secretary denied this information.
