Russia gathers 50,000 troops for counteroffensive in Kursk Oblast - NYT

The aggressor country of the russian federation has concentrated 50,000 troops, including soldiers from North Korea, to counterattack Ukrainian forces and regain territory in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.

The American newspaper The New York Times reported this on Sunday, November 10, with reference to the officials of the U.S. and Ukraine.

According to U.S. estimates, russia has already accumulated 50,000 troops along with North Korean soldiers, but it has not withdrawn forces from Ukraine, which currently remains a priority on the battlefield. The publication writes that such actions allow moscow to exert pressure on several fronts at the same time.

"The Russian military has assembled a force of 50,000 soldiers, including North Korean troops, as it prepares to begin an assault aimed at reclaiming territory seized by Ukraine in the Kursk region of Russia, according to U.S. and Ukrainian officials… For now, the North Koreans are training with Russian forces in the far western part of Kursk," the article says.
