Zelenskyy appoints Rudnytskyi Volyn Regional State Administration Head to replace Pohuliaiko

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Ivan Rudnytskyi as the Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration instead of Yurii Pohuliaiko.

This is stated in Decrees Nos. 753 and 755 of November 8, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"To appoint Ivan Lvovych Rudnytskyi as the Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration," reads Decree No. 755.

By Decree No. 753, Zelenskyy dismissed Pohuliaiko from the position of the Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration in accordance with the statement submitted by him.

46-year-old Rudnytskyi headed the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Volyn Region from May 2024.

In 2019-2022, he worked as the ead of the SSU Department in the Zakarpattia Region, and from July 2022 he headed the SSU Department in the Poltava Region.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in December 2019, Zelenskyy appointed Pohuliaiko as the Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration.

Previously, Pohuliaiko was the First Deputy Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, an employee of the tax police in the Donetsk Region.

In December 2020, the Volyn Regional Council expressed no confidence in the Head of the Regional Administration, Yurii Pohuliaiko.
