Volunteer Serhii Sternenko declared wanted by the Prymorskyi territorial recruitment and social support center in Odesa. He learned about this from the sanctioned publication Strana, as well as from russian propaganda resources.
MP Maryana Bezuhla said that Sternenko was declared wanted because of a video where he criticizes the military leadership.
"Syrskyi put Serhii Sternenko on the wanted list, giving the appropriate instruction to the Odesa territorial recruitment and social support center to work on him. This happened after a video about how the front is collapsing due to the stupid military leadership. The law enforcers give this document to the publication Strana, a pro-russian intelligence resource, which is still functioning , despite the NSDC's sanctions. Immediately after that, Strana, russian publics and publics from the StratСom of the AFU (!), as well as Poroshenko's blogger Oleshko spread the information," she wrote.
According to Sternenko, he has not lived in Odesa for 6 years, and in Rezerv+ he indicated an address in Kyiv. The summons was sent neither to his residential address nor to his registration.
"Yesterday I found out with great surprise that I, it turns out, was wanted. I found out not from the law enforcement officers, but from the pro-russian scumbag Strana, which is banned in Ukraine, and from Russia Today. Allegedly, the Prymordkyi territorial recruitment and social support center put me on the wanted list, sent the document to the police, and the police have already notified not me, but the russians and agents. Great allies," Sternenko wrote.
He noted that Reserve+ does not have a wanted report.
"Separate sur - on the day of the alleged wanted announcement, I was at a meeting at the Ministry of Defense. A day later at another one. In short, I behaved like someone who is hiding, yes. We will deal with this interesting situation. But there are already reasons to believe that it may to be "hello" from the army system for the criticism and calls to carry out the reform demanded by our military... But the very fact of leakage through the russians and agents is indicative. Get caught, gentlemen," he added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Serhii Sternenko, the activist and former head of Odesa's Right Sector, as established by the Security Service of Ukraine, killed a man in 2018 by catching up with him after a fight had already begun and stabbing him in the heart, refuting Sternenko's claims of self-defense.
At the same time, in February 2021, the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa sentenced Sternenko to 7 years and 3 months of imprisonment for robbery and illegal handling of weapons, with the confiscation of half of his property. He was accused of kidnapping and torturing a district deputy of Odesa.
But already in May 2021, the Court of Appeal overturned Sternenko's sentence of 7 years and 3 months in prison and gave him 1 year probation.
