In October, Ukraine exported a record-breaking amount of goods worth more than USD 3.8 billion, which is 18.7% more than in September of this year.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In October, Ukrainian exports in monetary terms became a record-breaking for the entire year 2024.
In January-October, compared to January-October 2023, the export of Ukrainian products in monetary terms, according to preliminary data, increased by 19.7% to USD 34.6 billion.
A significant increase in exports in October became possible thanks to an increase in the supply of agricultural products.
Thus, the export of agricultural products increased in October by 32.3% in terms of value, and by 33.8% in terms of weight.
This made it possible to increase the physical volume of exports to the level of 10.9 million tons, which is 26.2% more than in September of this year.
Ukraine exported the most in October by value: sunflower, safflower or cottonseed oil for USD 447.2 million or 481,300 tons; corn for USD 363.6 million or 1.9 million tons; wheat for USD 318.2 million or 1.6 million tons; soybeans for USD 260 million or 675,000 tons; rapeseed for USD 239.2 million or 476,300 tons; iron ore and concentrates for USD 166.8 million or 2.5 million tons.
According to Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative Taras Kachka, Ukrainian manufacturers exported goods mostly to Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy and Turkey.
In general, exports to EU countries in October compared to September increased by 15.8% to USD 2.38 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-September compared to January-September 2023, the export of Ukrainian products in monetary terms increased by 6% to USD 28.9 billion.
