Export of goods increased by 6% to USD 29 billion in 9M

In January-September, compared to August-September 2023, the export of Ukrainian products in monetary terms increased by 6% to USD 28.9 billion.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Ukrainian exporters also increased in 9 months compared to the same period in 2023, the physical volume of sales of goods increased by 36.2% to 99.3 million tons.

Thus, in 9 months of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, the export of semi-finished products from iron increased by 65.5% to 1.5 million tons, flat rolled products - by 86.2% to 1.1 million tons, pipes - by 52.2% to 338,000 tons, iron ore - by 99.6% to 25.2 million tons, cement - by 31% to 1.3 million tons.

Also in 9 months, the export of corn increased by 16.2% to 25.2 million tons, wheat - by 42.4% to 16 million tons.

In addition, 4.6 million tons of sunflowerseed oil, 3.6 million tons of meal, 334,000 tons of poultry meat for USD 708 million and 82,000 tons of juices for USD 160 million were exported in 9 months.

In 9 months, the export of cookies increased by 29% to USD 190 million, chocolate - by 29% to USD 169 million, caramels - by 28% to USD 151 million.

"In September, the sugar-making season began and we have a resumption of sugar exports. In September, Ukraine exported 24,700 tons of sugar worth USD 127 million. In total, since the beginning of the year, sugar exports have already amounted to 476,000 tons worth USD 282 million. The increase in volumes is 60% compared to the same period last year," noted Deputy Minister of Economy - trade representative Taras Kachka.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, compared to July, the export of Ukrainian products in monetary terms increased by 6.4% to USD 3.16 billion.
