We have evidence that russia preparing strikes on our nuclear energy facilities - Foreign Ministry

Russia is preparing strikes on nuclear infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine.

This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock.

"I will remind you again that we have evidence that russia was preparing and is preparing strikes on the nuclear infrastructure of Ukraine. We must protect them, on the one hand, and the world must react sharply and firmly to prevent this from happening," Sybiha stressed.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the help of the collective West for Ukraine is not charity, but an investment in common transatlantic security.

"It is very important that the decisive steps that must be taken - they are also taken in time, so that we do not allow the loss of our territories, we do not lose our people further, so that we become more and more self-sufficient in some directions," he added.

The minister emphasized that it is very important to convert these decisions into concrete practical actions. Ukraine communicates this to its allies every day. The first is the removal of any restrictions on the use of long-range weapons.

"This is our fair right. I mean the use of long-range weapons on the territory of russia for military purposes," Sybiha said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the aggressor country of russia uses Chinese satellites to photograph Ukrainian nuclear power plants, which may indicate preparations for strikes on them.
