In official circles in Kyiv, there is an increasing sense of disappointment about the course of the war, since after the election in the USA, Ukraine may be forced to agree to peace under unfavorable conditions or to continue the fight against the aggressor country of russia on its own.
This was reported by the Bloomberg agency on Friday, November 1, with reference to two sources close to the President's Office.
The publication writes that negative sentiments are beginning to spread in Ukraine, as the struggle and sacrifices made to contain the russian invasion for almost 1,000 days are being shown to the war-weary population. Bloomberg cites the results of a Razumkov Center survey for September, according to which more than two-thirds of Ukrainians believe that it is time to start peace talks with russia, which is 14 percent more than in the same period last year.
"Next week's election results in the United States could mean that Kyiv will be forced to agree to peace under unfavorable terms or face the prospect of continuing the fight against russia on its own, according to two people close to the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue. Among the officials, there is an increasing sense of disappointment with the course of the war, said one of the interlocutors," the article says.
The agency noted that Ukrainian troops are gradually losing positions in the Kursk Oblast due to increasing pressure from russia. They may soon be joined by the North Korean military, which was been confirmed by the US and South Korean officials, Bloomberg writes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 31, the German publication Welt stated that the speed of the advance of russian troops in Ukraine had increased.
On October 31, the United States announced that 8,000 North Korean servicemen are already in the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of russia.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, three generals of the General Staff of the North Korean Army were sent to russia.
