The Verkhovna Rada canceled the norm in the state budget for 2025 on raising the salaries of prosecutors.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Holos faction, announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Right now the hall still supported amendment No. 155, which cancels the increase in the salaries of prosecutors!!!!!" he wrote.
According to Zhelezniak, the corresponding amendment was supported by 242 MPs.
"The Verkhovna Rada has canceled the increase in the salaries of prosecutors! Amendment No. 155 has just been voted. 242 for. That is, this rule is being removed from the State Budget-2025," wrote in his Telegram channel, a member of the budget committee, Oleksiy Honcharenko, regarding the parliament's decision.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada agreed to increase the salaries of prosecutors in 2025 by 37%, i.e. by UAH 3 billion.
It was also reported that the Verkhovna Rada proposed equalizing the accrual of disability pensions for prosecutors with other citizens.
Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General's Office found almost 30% of prosecutors with disabilities in the Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy Regions.
