President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that, according to information available in Ukraine, Iran has not yet supplied russia with missiles, but the parties are conducting an "in-depth dialogue".
He said this at a joint press conference with the participants of the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit.
Thus, Zelenskyy noted that Iran has already licensed the production of Shaheds for russia on the territory of the russian federation, and also offers aid packages - the same Shaheds.
"They are conducting an in-depth dialogue about the missiles that Iran can provide to Russia. According to the information we have, they have not provided the missiles yet, but they are talking about it, and this, again, is a cause for concern for us," the President said.
Recall that on September 11, the U.S. Department of Defense confirmed the information of a number of mass media that russia received ballistic missiles from Iran for use in the war against Ukraine.
A few days before, Member of the Islamic Consultative Council (Parliament of Iran) Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani said in an interview with the Iranian newspaper Didban Iran that Tehran had handed over missiles to moscow in exchange for currency and food.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 14, the Council of the European Union approved the introduction of sanctions against Iran for providing missiles to russia for use in the war against Ukraine.
Iran's state-owned company Iran Air canceled all flights to European Union countries a few hours after Brussels imposed sanctions on Tehran for supplying missiles to the aggressor country russia.
