The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed former ambassador to Estonia Mariana Betsa as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
This is stated in the message of the government on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"At its meeting on October 29, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted an order on the appointment of Betsa Mariana Oleksandrivna as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine," the message reads.
46-year-old Betsa was the ambassador to Estonia in 2018-2023.
In September 2018, the then president Petro Poroshenko appointed the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mariana Betsa as ambassador to Estonia.
Before that, since July 2015, she worked as the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Maksym Kononenko as Ambassador to Estonia instead of Mariana Betsa.
