The second batch of North Korean troops will soon arrive in the aggressor country of russia.
The Bloomberg agency reported this on Friday, October 25, with reference to South Korean intelligence documents.
South Korean intelligence has said that North Korean troops will train at military facilities in Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk and Blagoveshchensk for about a month before going to war. The kremlin is said to be planning to arm North Koreans with weapons and combat uniforms, as well as fake IDs to pass them off as residents of russia's eastern regions.
"North Korea has sent multiple high-ranking officers including a three-star general who commands special operations forces to Russia already, the South Korean documents showed. The troops are affiliated with North Korea’s most elite forces, known as the ‘Storm Corps,’ the material stated.
The publication writes that the first group of 1,500 elite special forces is already undergoing training in the Far East of the russian federation. South Korea will provide some of the intelligence to NATO officials at the North Atlantic Council meeting on October 28. In response, NATO may step up its support for Ukraine and build a partnership in the Indo-Pacific region, Bloomberg noted with reference to knowledgeable sources.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the first deployment of North Korean military personnel in combat zones is expected on October 27-28.
On October 24, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that the first North Korean soldiers had already arrived in the Kursk Oblast.
On October 23, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced that the United States has evidence of sending North Korean military forces to the aggressor country of russia.
