Russian occupation troops on the Pokrovsk axis (Donetsk Region) were able to enter the territory of the town of Selydove. Currently, fighting is likely to continue in its central part.
This is stated in the intelligence review of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom.
"The town remains contested, with fighting likely continuing to take place within the town centre. Selydove is the last significant urban area screening the southern flank of Pokrovsk as well as the E50 highway – which connects Selydove to Pokrovsk,” the statement reads.
British intelligence noted that at the beginning of October, the advance of the russians in the direction of Pokrovsk slowed down significantly. They continue to remain about 7 kilometers from the town.
