President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the visit of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to the BRICS summit in Kazan, russia.
This is evidenced by Zelenskyy's Telegram post.
The head of state wrote that on United Nations Day, it remains important that the world has not forgotten the purpose for which the organization was created.
At the same time, according to him, "some functionaries" remain who prefer "temptations in Kazan" to the content of the UN Charter.
"Still, our world is built in such a way that the rights of nations and norms of international law have and will have importance," Zelenskyy said.
Recall that on October 23, the UN Secretary General visited the russian city of Kazan, where the summit of the BRICS organization began that day. Guterres' visit was not announced.
According to Guterres' deputy Farhan Haq, the UN Secretary General was supposed to raise the topic of the war in Ukraine at the BRICS summit.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, after bowing to the russian dictator vladimir putin, the UN Secretary General was seen in the arms of the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko.
