According to a representative survey of public opinion, the Hungarian party "Tisza" was ahead of Viktor Orbán's "Fidesz" both among the population as a whole and among a certain part of the voters. This is the first time in Hungary in the last 18 years.
This is evidenced by a Publicus Institute survey conducted for the Hungarian newspaper Népszava.
According to this poll, the opposition party "Tisza" has 24% of the total population, while "Fidesz" has 23%. Among those, who are sure that they will take part in the elections and vote for the party, the ratio in favor of Péter Magyar's party is 39-37%.
It is noted that this is the second public opinion poll that failed to record the leadership of “Fidesz” after almost two decades. According to a survey conducted by 21 Research Center, "Tisza" has 42% and "Fidesz" - 40% among voters, who are confident in their vote and can choose a party.
However, according to the 21 Research Center survey, “Fidesz” still leads the electorate as a whole by a small margin: the support of the ruling parties in this category is 29%, while the support of the “Tisza” party is 26%. Meanwhile, among young people, the “Tisza” party is significantly ahead of “Fidesz”: in the 18-29 and 30-39 age groups, Péter Magyar's party have the support of 38% and 40%, respectively, while “Fidesz” has 12% and 14%. When it comes to educational attainment, “Tisza” leads 38-22 among university graduates and 31-20 among high school graduates, but among people with lower levels of education, the ruling party would win by a huge margin.
"History is being made. It hasn't happened in 18 years." Hungary has sent a signal: Viktor Orbán's regime is over. The Orbán regime is over. The Orbán's regime is over, because they cannot cope with the economic and moral crisis they have caused," said Péter Magyar, president of the “Tisza” party.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that the Victory Plan, presented earlier by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, allegedly scared him. He wants to push for EU negotiations with russia.
We will remind you that in the summer, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán went to Moscow after a visit to Kyiv.
Because of this, the ambassadors of 27 countries of the European Union gathered in Brussels (Belgium) to discuss the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to russia and China at the beginning of Hungary's six-month EU presidency.
