Explosions rang out at night near military airfield in Crimea - social networks

Overnight into Thursday, October 24, explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Crimea in the areas of Sevastopol, Balaklava and Belbek, where the military airfield is located. The occupiers announced the work of air defense.

This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.

It is noted that the explosions on the occupied peninsula occurred around 01.20 a.m. Later, the occupation authorities announced the operation of air defense because of an alleged missile attack.

"According to preliminary information, the military destroyed 1 missile at a significant distance from the shore over the water area," wrote Sevastopol Gauleiter Mikhail Razvozhayev.

According to him, in Sevastopol, "no civilian objects in the city were damaged."

Meanwhile, residents of Crimea reported on the Internet about loud explosions that were heard not only in the Sevastopol area, but also in Balaklava, as well as in the area of ​​the Belbek airfield and in the Baydar Valley (a closed basin in the southwestern part of Crimea, 40 km to the south east of Sevastopol).

According to the Crimean Wind, against the background of the statements of the representatives of the occupation "administration" about the alleged downing of one missile, there were at least five explosions, namely: two - from Balaklava to Sevastopol, and three more - near the Belbek airfield.

In addition, four explosions were also heard in Baydar Valley, and this happened at around 01.10 a.m. It is noted that the first one was quite loud.
